View Full Version : A new suggestion for obtaining Level 5

I have seen many people demanding Level 5 accounts/invites and offering many things in return. Most of these threads do not get a reply. So I am suggesting a new way of obtaining level 5.

There can be one sticky called Level 5 Invites updateable only by middlemen

Those who have level 5 invites can PM one of the middlemen saying that they have a level 5 invite/account and they want to trade. They can also write what they expect in the trade, and the middleman updates the level 5 thread saying something like this :

Available : One ScT invite
Requirements : 1 Month AXX to seedbox + CZone invite.

The middleman need not reveal the name of the inviter. Whosoever wants to trade can ask the middleman. Thereby the trade can be performed via middleman, and the reps can be exchanged.

Suggestions and criticisms welcome.

how about this, we ditch this whole pointless, nonsensical invite/account rating system entirely.

what do you say!

Yep I like, recently there're so many topics asking for inv, now they'll have what to read first :)

maybe it will be too much work for middleman, but it's a nice idea :)

i dont think its actually practical, too many noobs will send offers to the middleman with tl and such and theres no way they will handle all these pm's

the way to tackle this is to state clearly in the rules of the thread that anyone unnecessarily PM'ing the middleman for begging without having the required invites for trade will be banned.

Another way to tackle noobs is to have a minimum amount of rep points in every requirement :

Available : One ScT invite.
Required : Atleast 20 reps, One month access to seedbox + CZone.

what if a user has the required trade items but not the rep, are they not allowed to offer? then the user asking can't get what they want simply because the person offering it hasn't done a giveaway or trade 20 demonoid invite codes.

as well, many times that users post their level 5 invite threads they are trying to find out how much they can get for it. it is a good idea in theory, however could never really work.

@Atilla : I dont have CZone.. that was just an example.

@SalmonBlaster : Those who post invites looking to get the highest possible offer often end up being bombarded by noobs begging for invites. That is why the suggestion of being precise of what you want for your level 5 invite.

Moreover, if the existing middlemen are feeling too much pressure, one or two new middlemen can be appointed if possible for this purpose.

that actually didn't answer my question at all, or really respond to my post. all you did was restate what you have already stated... multiple times.

if people cared about noobs bombarding them then they wouldn't start the threads, they would look for someone offering what they want.

+1
people who have ft* for example can just go over thread of people offering sites and see if they find something and afterwards use the middleman help

people do not start threads giving out F*N invites because of the fear of spies.

They also do not trade invites privately because sometimes they want something more or something different than what is offered in the threads. that is why they generally do not pm people giving them F*N offers.

The level 5 invite thread will be able to provide them a place where they can precisely tell others what they want without revealing their identity.

e.g. someone may want 2 or 3 month seedbox access or 1 month seedbox + F*WR. They may not always get it in the threads, but if they ask for it as a requirement in the level 5 invites thread, then somebody can provide them with the exact requirements.

@Salmonblaster : Your original question was : Why should there be rep points in the requirements ? This is because many spies create many accounts hunting for users giving out level5 invites. These spies do not take efforts to get repped on every account. They just have a 1 month old account.

If the middlemen are up to it, it is a great idea indeed. This way, there won't be a need for the traders to actually know who they're trading with. And if the traders don't know who they're trading with, the spies certaintly won't know either ;-)

having such a system will definitely prevent cases like these :
http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/bittorrent-invites-section/t-swedvdr-invite-needed-look-inside-have-176511

just see the attitude of the spy before he gets banned.
