As far as I know there are many "not legal" RS accounts with 6 months membership, but those don't live more than few weeks. I had two and both were disabled one after another one in a month. So be careful... ;)

I don't know this particular user so i can't know if he's a good guy but there are enough legal accounts out there so he may be telling the truth. anyhow its always good to be careful
