View Full Version : Have ever been banned due to inactivity?

znik

Most of us are registered in various trackers.

I was wondering though what could happen if we ever couldn't login to our accounts for more than a month due to an accident or some other reason... :(

Would all these hard earned trackers be lost for inactivity?
Is there any way to reclaim them back?

Maybe we should have a thread with the IRCs of all trackers to ask for help in such a case. (if that is possible)

It would be interesting to know if you have ever lost access to a valuable tracker due to inactivity...
Thanks!

Only n tracker that I couldn't care less about, so maybe banned due to inactivity, but at the same time deliberately.

Yes but I as I have said we could all have a car accident or another serious and unpredictable problem that could keep us out of our trackers for a month or more...

Is there a solution so as to reclaim our accounts?

I don't think so, if they delete your account, then I doubt they still have the stats of your account, except maybe if you're a VIP/someone important there, maybe they will care more

Just make sure to become PU at all the sites, you usually get allowed longer periods of inactivity from. At e.g. OiNK a PU can never get deletd for inactivity, and at SCC the period allowed goes from 7 days to 42 days. It's probably similar for many other trackers although I haven't checked.

Also some sites allow you to park your account if you know it will be a while before you can use it again.

Some sites allow you to "park" your account meaning that you may be allowed to be inactive for more than 42 days (which I think is the usual length of time that a tracker will let you be inactive for before they delete your account):).

I was disabled (note that sites usually don't disable your account for being inactive, just delete it which allows you to sign up again) from BitMe for inactivity but it was re-enabled by a moderator when I explained my situation in IRC:).

Apart from that I have been deleted from my fair share of trackers for inactivity. Usually because I lose interest in the site but I sometimes sign up again later. I just went through my list of trackers and these are the ones I can remember being deleted from: FileMP3, Bitsoup, iLoveTorrents, MusicVids, Aradi Tracker, MySpleen, Wild-Bytes, Revolt, Audionews, Libble, Goem, HDBits, Midnight Torrents, SceneMachine, SCC, PiSEXY, Acid Lounge, x264, BitNation, SportBit, Swebits, UKNova:).

account havent been deleted yet on any trackers. i was wondering.....what does it mean by inactivity? does it mean you havent logged-in for a while or does it mean no download or upload activity?

znik
05-02-2007, 12:24 AM
dcliffnotes I think that most trackers disable your account if you do not login for 42 days.
However if it is a new account and you have never used it for downloading, it may be deactivated sooner.

I not only got deleted from pisexy a few weeks ago, their home page also does not load. When I contacted them in IRC they said I had not upped or downloaded and this rule applies to new accounts.
But a user here mentioned that they had some problem with with getting hacked by people from spain and so all users from spain (and I think sweden) got their IPs blacklisted. I'm glad this did not happen with a more valuable tracker, like oink, for example.
