View Full Version : Hit and run protection
Most likely a repost but owell
seeing as how places like acid lounge and a few other sites now have a system in place that requires you to seed a completed torrent for **48to72** hours or 1:1 ratio, does this mean if other trackers start this buffered accounts will be useless?
thanks

Would most people agree that this rule is unfair
or would you support this at most sites?

Support. It gives you the option of grabbing the older files and still not get flagged as a hit n runner. If you don't or can't seed to 1:1 then by seeding for a few days keeps the site going.

This is not really anything new.
That same system has been around for over a year.
Most sites just chose not to implement that option.
While it is good at encouraging people to seed even when they have slow outgoing speeds. It also can be a pain if you have good speeds and cant seed to 1:1 due to nobody dl the file after you.
Sometimes these types of systems can be more of a pain than a good thing.
