Need help i just downloaded dvdrip of Apocalypto and it has a separate subtitle folder. I dont know how i can play it w/ the sub on my VLC player. This is my first time using a subtitle on a movie. Tnx. :)
extract the subs if they are .rared. then put them in the same folder as the movie.
Then play movie
It should autodetect them.
if not then, click
settings > preferences
video > subtitles
mark "autodetect subs"
try again
if not then
"use subtitle file" browse to the folder
apply.

Hpw about the opposite of this ?
I have got several movies that I ripped from a DVD>
When I play them in VideoLan, some of them play with French or Spanish language. I want to hear them in English.
Is there a way to choose which language you want with VLC or would it be a matter of deleting the French or Spanish audio track ?
