Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind being on that list is definitely a travesty.

Minority Report and Outer Limits is two of many that I would to add list.

I don't think you can compare TV series and films, tbh.

Films:
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back
Matrix (Original only!)
Aliens
Gattaca
Terminator (Again, original is best)

TV Shows:
Farscape
Stargate SG1
Andromeda
Babylon 5
Dark Skies (I loved that show!)

The list isn't bad. I agree that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a surprise.

I would perhaps change the order of some of them and maybe include Farscape.

This list is sh*t. I'm just not buying their opinions.

Interesting, what would you include on the list or is it the order you object to. If so what order would you have them in?

I agree and to make a list of the Top Sci-Fi shows and films would take too much time so I can't be arsed to create one.

Star Wars would be on there a lot more...

I agree. This list is nonsense, even considering that everybody has their own subjective opinions.

Where i dont agree with you is that i belive that films and tv series can be comparable (although i tend to like films a lot more). At least on their influence and appeal over the masses.

To be honest i dont know if this list is supposed to order by popularity or quality, which normally are two very different things. What i know is that it fails at either.

Have seen most on the list and was surprised of a few that were included . Think thats why I keep using Demoniod as my choice for my Sci - Fi fix , its easy to find some of the old classics .

The Top 25 Sci-Fi Movies & TV From The Past 25 Years

Have they forgot to mention ''US-Only'' in the title ? :\

Where is Kin-dza-dza ? not a single cronenberg's film ? animated films like AKIRA .?

Rely yourself on acclamed films study books insteed of those lists.

That list is not horrible but it needs tweaking.

The only Star Wars film I could include is Return Of Jedi since the second trilogy sucked and all the others were before '83. Clone Wars? It was a decent cartoon but not all that.

Where the hell are Babylon 5, Farscape, and Stargate SG-1? Those are no-brainers. Not many sci-fi shows go 10 seasons (SG-1).

Here is a tweaked list (ignore the rankings).

25. V: THE MINISERIES (1983)
24. Stargate SG-1
23. DOCTOR WHO (1963-Present)
22. QUANTUM LEAP (1989-1993)
21. FUTURAMA (1999-2003)
20. STAR WARS: Return Of The Jedi
19. STARSHIP TROOPERS (1997)
18. HEROES (2006-Present)
17. Babylon 5
16. TOTAL RECALL (1990)
15. FIREFLY/SERENITY (2002/2005)
14. Farscape
13. THE TERMINATOR/ TERMINATOR 2 (1984 /1991)
12. BACK TO THE FUTURE Trilogy
11. LOST (2004-Present)
10. THE THING (1982)
9. ALIENS (1986)
8. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION (1987-1994)
7. E.T. (1982)
6. BRAZIL (1985)
5. STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982)
4. THE X-FILES (1993-2002)
3. BLADE RUNNER (1982)
2. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (2003-Present)
1. THE MATRIX (1999)

I liked others that were canceled early like

Space Above and Beyond
Earth 2
Dark Skies (that show had bad timing, NBC came out with it to go up against X-Files)
John Doe
Firefly

Yeah my list would have changed big time if it was "of all time".

Heroes is damn good to be included and only have gone 1 season so far.

I forgot all about Escape From New York and I always thought there should have been a sequel to The Thing. Hollywood would probably fuck it all up.

Oh fuck I must include a movie that many of you probably have missed....

Predator

I can watch it right now and it still be great.

I would have included Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back but they are too early.

What Cronenberg film? Existenz?

didn't liked Existenz so much. I was thinking of The Fly or Videodrome. they aren't cult classic. But they are quite wild sci-films.

I loved Videodrome (liked Existenz too). They shouldn't make the list.

However, you have a point about The Fly. I forgot all about that.
