A couple months ago I installed UBUNTU onto my hard drive as a second OS to XP. Now I just want to get rid of it and keep XP...but I don't know how. Any help here?

Adam

First we'll need to know how you have it set up. Like how many HD's you have, how they're partitioned and which OS is on HDA with the boot loader. But normally, you can delete it this way:

Use your windows setup cd, load it, restart the PC, boot off the CD and start the Recovery console. Here you can use the fixmbr command to commandeer your MBR.

You can find more infor baout fixmbr here (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/bootcons_fixmbr.mspx?mfr=true).

@shapeless, it 's funny how other peoples problems are so much more interesting than our own ? I hate to see a new member's first post go unnoticed ,I learn something new every time I log in here . Got to love it . :)
