Which site is better? I know there is already a poll with a similar topic (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-ftn-sct--173932/?highlight=poll), but this will be a less biased sample.

I think it nwill be interesting to compare the results.

I'll start the ball rolling, I don't have both.

FTN for pre's and content. SCT for speed.

Overall winner: FTN for much better pre's and freebies.

Can't really say, as I only have ScT.

i have both and FTN surely wins it. just look at it this way. everything that appears on SCT will make it to revott TL TD as matter of minutes. BUT not everything that gets released on FTN will appear somewhere else. its all about EXCLUSIVITY.

Really really hard to say both are great FTN is really good because of the free leech stuff etc, but ScT just wins out for me because of the speed and that I have been there since one week after it started and I love it.

FTN by FAR

About the same speed/pre times only FTN you actually have a chance to build a respectable ratio. I only have a regular cable connection until FiOs (http://www22.verizon.com/content/ConsumerFios) comes to brooklyn. mabye then I'l be able to keep up with the big boys @ Sct

ScT for sure now, making the database bigger will generate tons of traffic, i hope. Id like to see them with 20k users.

Is there any way to get into these sites without an invite? I originally used TB for everything and they started getting ddosed to death, then I managed to get an invite into TL and now they\'re down... I\'m just looking for a steady site that has good 0day general. Somewhere that I\'d be able to get into without an invite would be preferred because I don\'t know anybody well enough to ask :\\

Chronictracker is a good choice. Better pre\'s than pretty much any site, and they should max out a regular cable connection on most new things. You do need an invite, and you can get one either by joining #chronictracker on p2pnet, or posting here: http://thepeergroup.net/board.php?boardid=77 (forum requires registration).

I love ScT, no FTN yet though.

I hear ScT's pre times are a bit worse than FTN, and they dont have as many packs, but I dunno, I just love em. ;)

Ftn is better IMO. Ftn has better pretimes, better packs and tons of free torrents. Sct has better speeds but you can only notice them if you have a really fast seeding box. For most normal connections, ftn is fast enough. Plus, it is far easier to keep 1+ ratio on ftn, even with a slow connection.

And to make things worse, sct recently became p2l. This might lower the average download speed of torrents, since more people will leech. Also it is easier to find invites(thus you arent scared of being banned as much) and some people stopped using/supporting sct because they are against p2l. So my guess is that sct speeds will become worse in the mid/long term.
