I don't see why this shouldn't be standard practice. Are you saying that it's a low level tracker so it doesn't matter if the user he invited keeps good site ratios by cheating? Also, I think it would be easier to get a client ratio that it would be to go to your sites and take a screen and have to block out all sorts of identifying information.
