Her you go!

A horse travels a certain distance each day.
Strangley enough, two of it's legs travel 30 miles each day
and the other two of the horses legs travel nearly 31 miles each day.
It seems that 2 of the horses legs must be 1 mile ahead of the other 2 legs,
but of course this can't be true.Since the horse is normal,
how is this situation possible??? :P

It's travelling in a circle.

Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29. Where is the remaining dollar?

aah i've heard of this one b4
figured it out while on the toilet

you are not supposed to add 27 and 2

you subtract 27 and 2 to get the actual amount of room
which is 25

Think it through :D

They are three errers in this puzzle. What are they ?

chalice

They should be there.
Errers should be errors.
There are only 2 errors so the statement itself is an error.

i found my riddle book (it has over 200 - should keep us busy)

Here's one i pulled out at random:

If you toss it from the top of a high building
it will not break, but if you throw it into the ocean
it iwll break. What is it?

I know how fast these get answered so i'll put another up

Can a man marry three women in a single
day (without divorcing any one of them) and yet
not break the US laws? If so, how?

Good Luck :P

A man was hired to mow the grass. He took the lawn mower out of the shed and
went out. Soon he went back. He said, "I cannot mow all that grass out there.
That grass is a hundred feet high."
He was telling the truth but how would this be possible?

With this one, several people may answer:
Ten parts of the human body can be spelled with just 3 letters.
Name them all.

Sorry for the long quote, but I figured we'd all like to stop having to go back to re-read the riddles. btw, I've followed this thread since it's beginning (I even recall the original from long ago!) and I Love it! This is my first time responding though. So here goes!

Oh well...

Just as well I checked in before bedding down then.

Answer:

The next row is 1113213211

Why?
Starting with the second line, every line describes the line before it. In writing, it is:
One One
Two Ones
One Two, One One
etc.
etc.

So the next line must describe the line before, which is 13112221.
So: One One, One Three, Two Ones, Three Twos, One One ---> 1113213211

Now I'm going to sleeep

ROFL - This is an old one.

You switch two lights on then after a bit of time switch one of the two on switches off. Then you go into the room - The one that's lit is obviously the one you left on. The other two, well you feel the bulbs for the heat - As one has been on & off, it's bound to be hotter than the one that's never been on.

So
Left On - Lit Bulb
One then Off - Unlit bulb that's hot
Left Off - Unlit bulb that's cold

Looks like I'm starting quite a habit ;)

(BTW Riddler - Never really noticed that skinky remark. I did see that clue, and I'm guessing that you're trying to say it's water. Please explain the answer to me, because quite frankly it's confusing me

A strain of E-Coli, only enough to make you sick but not kill you. Double the dose kills you, therefore his enemys all died of mad cow disease.

EDIT: heres riddlers riddle !!:

General Custer was making his famous last stand. Surrounded by Indians, he didn't actually die that day ( really ! ) Instead he picked up a magic lamp laying at his feet, rubbed it and a genie popped out and offered him 1 wish with the following condition...." Whatever you wish for, your enemy will receive 2 of the same thing. "
What was Custer's one wish that got him out of that mess and allowed him to live a long and happy life, eventually becoming Colonel Saunders' great grandfather ( all true ! ) ?

and its an object!!!

I'm guessing that he asked for one of his balls to be amputated. No, I'm serious.

Think about it - If he only asked for one, the indians would have both taken off. I'm not sure whether it would have killed them, but the mere shock of both your b***ocks missing is going to distract any bloke ;)

He'd be able to live a longer (due to a reduced chance in testicular cancer) and happier (who wouldn't want to get it on that bit longer before c**ming? :w00t:), and he would have been able to be Colonel Sander's great-grandfather (You only really need one sperm in truth for that ;)).

Yes, it's a little exaggerated but it's the best I've got so far.
