Last night I ordered an MSI L735 lappy off of Newegg. The guts consist of: an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 (2.00GHz), a 17.0" Wide XGA+ screen, 2GB DDR2 533 MHz RAM, 160GB HDD space, DVD Super Multi, and finally NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600. Just curious as to what extent of games (graphic wise) that I could play with this? Considering I'm coming from a Pentium 3 1GHz with 384MB of RAM, this should be a nice upgrade.

$1,700 USD. $1,600 after rebate. Thought it was a pretty good deal myself.

Sounds good, does it come with an OS? Assuming it's vista.

if your going for a gaming laptop i would look into investing some more cash into a video card for that laptop. other then that its looks really nice.

Wasn't really going for gaming, just a desktop-replacement. Headed off to college here shortly.

Haha...no no...I've learned much in my 4 years here at FST. :P Anyways, on the new lappy now actually, and I'm loving it!

Agreed, helps I also bought the last one. Oh, and how can I turn off the User Account Control? Every time I want to move a file or something it asks for my permission. :frusty:

IMO, you got ripped off. No offense or anything.
It's a decent laptop, but you could've gotten better. AMD dual-cores run cheap...
You probably could have gotten a T7200 Core 2 Duo, with a 7900GS.
