I have installed many copies of Office 2007. They work just fine (I think) but they fail the "Genuine Advantage Validation" check. Is there a way to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

No. My Windows version is genuine. And Office 2007 installs and works and updates just fine.

Hopever when I go to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ it tells me this is not genuine. The verification is necessary to download certain features, like add-ins, and perhaps stuff in the future. This does not validate at this site.

Does yours? Any suggestions?

btw, the add-ins are no big deal. I just download them from work where everything is factory. And save them, and install them on my home computer.

im not gonna try since it might put something in the registry. if you can download them from work... then yay... you're set.

It doesn't require a serial or need activation. I havn't went to M$'s update site but there would be no reason why this version wouldn't update just fine. It is, after all, a corporate installation.

As I said, all of these install and update without problems. They just don't validate as "genuine" from the above mentioned site.

Ok back on topic. I don't know if Microsoft fixed their WGA yet but there was a problem while back where users who had genuine software were being accused of using pirated software by WGA. You should called up Microsoft and sort it out with them.

And tell them my serial number which they will surely know is not genuine!

If it's not genuine then the "Genuine Advantage Validation" check is working as intended.
