GPS-trackers?

I've been looking for a GPS-tracker for a while now, but I can't find anything. :(
I really want to help my father by getting a europe-map. Can someone help me?

I don't think i have that kind of navigation-system on my gps.(Don't know though, this is new for me). We have one cd, called Travelpilot DX "something".

Will these maps work if you have a GARMIN GPS?
