Okay to get file elsewhere, but seed on tracker?

I am new to BT, but have been downloading off of usenet for years. I like BT because there is a nice community atmosphere that I never found w/ usenet.
My question is, is it okay to download somthing off of usenet and then seed it at Torrentbytes for example?
I have been doing this for a few days on TB, and everything seems okay, I just wondered if it's frowned upon, or might be mistaken as cheating.

where do you think the files on TB came from? Yeah its all good

Yes, its acceptable and some frown upon it, while the majority don't and find it an acceptable way of seeding ;)

I always get an error when I try to seed a torrent (from TL) on RevTT. :dabs:
