if you have windows xp home edition, right click on the "my computer" icon on your desk top or from your start up menu and click the "properties" and under general tab at the bottom it should say how much memory you have, which is your ram, your pc memory is measured in raw available memory (ram) :lol: and when we say pc or pcu we mean your computer :lol:

and how do I know what kind of computer do I have. Is there somewhere I can check.

same place will give you all the basic info about your pc, you might not have enough memory but personally i don't think that is the problem, but that is just my opinion i could be wrong, how do you know you have the codec pack?

How do I know I have that Codex thing??
Because I have dowloaded it already a couple of times because everyone is telling me that that is my problem!

well just wanted to make sure since you are new and all, you got the latest pack right? and you made sure to go to your control panel from the start menu and delete any codec/divix packs you had before you installed the latest version? and did you pay attention to the directions for the codec pack when it said not to install both of the audio codec options and just to choose one?

ok if you go back to the properties what does it say for MHz or GHz and do you have a PC or a MAC

I don't have codex/divx on my control panel
