Just bought a second hand PS2 for my daughter,is there an easy way of finding out if it,s been chipped/modded?
I've seen DS games available on various sites, what do you need to get them onto the DS?

Video games are not for girls. Buy her a doll or a tea set. She will thank you later ;)

Don't be a stereotype, theres alot of girl gamers out there and alot of girls who play video games occasionally. As for checking if its modded, you can check if its hardmodded simply by checking if the void sticker has been cracked or the screws have been taken out on the bottem.

I'm dead proud of her, she's 8 and wanted to buy herself the PS2 with her birthday money. :)I was, of course, Kidding. That's commendable that she's willing to spend he own money on it. As for the mod chip, I agree with Global Jihad. If the seal has been broken and there is evidence that it has been opened (ie. stripped screw heads) then you can remove the back and look for any "messy" soldering.

but i would say best bet would be the swap magic for about 28 dollars or so, its a great deal and doesnt involve work. Just be a little hard for the kids i think.
