I decided to dabble with it and its a neat program, for some reason my pc is working that extra bit faster than usual. when i looked at defrag b4 i ran it i had 70% of my HD left to use after i ran dustbuster i had 74% left so it must of got rid of afew stuff. Anyhow nice little program, i think ppl will b put off how the instillation thing is in italian.

IMO this version is exactly the same. Except it is installed. The older 2.8 is 3 or 4x smaller & is just an executeable (.exe). I'm going to stick with the older version. Thanks for pointing this out SH. :)

heh, lol it only cleared 2 files in the win dir. Since I already deleted most of the junk that comes from ms win cd <_< . I always delete excutables in windows folder. Try it, it is fun, because they get restored next reboot. Try it with ctfmon.exe. :D

I know some apps need the .bak files, because i actually used em in a program called CB Interactive. They were the speed and pitch settings files for the program's reading speed, heh and when ya delete em.. the program crashes during startup. unsure about DustBuster hehehe.

how much space did it free up?

700 different methods sounds sooo extreme.

On fresh installs & not so fresh installs of XP & other OS's it has freed up 240-460MB on different computers I've worked on. Then on subsquent runs of course DB freed up much less space.
