The number doesn't really mean much since I stop my torrents and never get around to removing them from my client, even after the files have been deleted.

Well running torrentfiles are saved torrentfiles. If they are in your client, I am pretty sure you can't avoid having them somewhere on your harddrive :D

They're in my temporary file folder I think.. They get deleted when I stop the torrent file in the client

Don't keep them all, once i've got as much seeding out of it as i need, i delete the torrent file. If i did, it would be in thousands, if not millions.

Err, you can have a *.torrent file on your hard-drive but not be seeding/leeching the file in your client:mellow:.

72, and this topic brings up a question I was curious about. Does having too many active torrents running put a strain on Utorr/PC?

no, unless you have a really shitty pc and barely have enough ram to run utorrent. In that case, it might get paged.

i was wondering about this question too. would it hurt your DL/UL speeds if you have a lot of running torrents (mostly seeding) but not all of them are really uploading but just waiting for queue? i hope i asked that right. :D

3.2D Cpu with 3Gig Ram. I ask because unless i pause all my torrents when Im burning a DVD Ill get a coaster almost everytime. The process finishes but the dvds almost never work, and CDs have hiss/pops.

Everyone should check their temp files folder. I always open torrents directly with uTorrent and I still found thousands of torrent files saved in there from everything I've ever downloaded. The folder is "C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Local Settings\Temp" assuming you are using windows installed on your c drive.
