Hi Guys

I have a few mov and rm files that I would like to convert to avi or mpeg.

Any suggestions of a good free program that will do this ? For Windows XP.

Kind Regards

I'm not sure if it supports mov and rmvb files but its free. AllToAvi is an open source software for converting hard to figure out videos. Of course you will at least have to have quicktime alternate installed to use its decoder for the mov files. I've used it to convert those crappy h264 avi files to something more appropriate for dvd convertion and it did a great job.

For converting mov to avi, mpeg, wmv I use Vidlogo by geovid. It works very fine for me. I know there is a free trial version without time limit.

i wouldn't look only at free, but just for the best in general. If it happens to have a price on it, well, the IS filesharingtalk :)

So what is the best program to convert video clips from one format to another?
