Leeware - Do I need a credit card?

Hey! :)

I tried to get a machine from Leeware, but I'm facing a strange problem:
When I try to subscribe ans select Paypal it keeps asking me for a credit card. As I don't have one this is quite a problem. I already got a verified bank account on Paypal + some deposit.

I really don't understand what the problem is.

Can anyone help me out on that one?

Yes you need a creditcard, or well creditcard 'linked' to your paypal account.
Had the same issue so just ordered leaseweb instead :p

Well, this sucks. Why do they offer payment via Paypal in the first place? Doesn't make much sense, does it?

By paying through paypal, your credit card information is not revealed online to any merchant site. It is stored only in paypal.

Yeah, but why can't I pay with my VERIFIED bank account or my deposit then? I just don't get it.

Isn't there a way around it? I just don't have a credit card :(

You dont need a Credit Card to rent a Leeware.
Just Mail Lee and ask him for that.
I did it once and its worked.
Leeware has a special Paypal Adress for this.

I e-mailed Lee 4 times and got 2 responses both containing the exact same link that doesn't work either :(
