Baldrick: "What did you get me for Christmas then Blackadder?"

Blackadder: "Oh, it was nothing...."

Baldrick: "oh what is it then!?"

Blackadder; "no, really, it's nothing..."

Rowan Atkinson started off in Not The Nine O Clock news.
He's quite funny in that. Dunno where you would get episodes of that.

Yeah seen some of the Mr. Bean shows, one where he went to a art show, another I think he was watching a kid in a buggy/stroller.Pretty good.

Havn't seen Not The Nine O Clock news.-lot of this stuff is rare here in the states.
Have BBC channel on satalite but you kinda take what they give you.

I remember seeing that Knightmare show here before a while back.
They have Keepin up apperance and Faulty Towers which aren't bad.

John Cleese is a master, but a little heavy handed when clouting Manuel ;) Andrew Sachs said that it really hurt sometimes
None the less a masterpiece! :D

ummm.....

steer WELL clear.

My mum loves that - thats about as much as you need (no offense to my mothers taste in comedy, but its pretty bad nontheless....)

EDIT:
If you want recent funny British shows, get them in this order, of funniest:

The Office, and
Phoenix Nights

both utterley hilarious
