I've lost a lot of weight. Trying to gain weight. Also doing a lot of sit-ups, push ups to tone up.

What's best to eat to gain "healthy weight" while doing such exercise. Started runnig again, but its 35 degrees here, and i sweat too much.

So,how to gain weight, muscle toning, plus aerobic fitness in such temperatures.

I wouldn't use those weight gain milkshakes, as they appaently just help retain water.

Any ideas of what to be eating?

Eventually will join gym to bulid muscle, but toming is fine for now.

to build muscle, weights three or four times a week, plenty of protein, protein shakes are good as you can get around 17g's of protein and that’s just by mixing it with water, take some before and after weights (though some people will tell you only take it after)

you break muscle fibers down in the gym so its important to take in plenty of protein out of the gym to help rebuild it - carbs too, especially if you're wanting to gain weight, try not to do too much cardio or you'll loose more than you'll put on

as weendon said, chicken (and salmon) are a fantastic natural source of protein

I get the protein ,but i also need to improve cardiovascular. Not sure if i should go for muscle build first, then cardio, or vice-versa.

Anyone know if rice is any good for anything. Plenty of that here.

I'm not racialist.

Thanks for the link. Last question. Due to schedule, i can either run last thing at night, or 1st thing in morning. SOmeone told me a long time ago that running in the morning is bad for you, as the bones etc are still in a "relaxed" state from sleeping?

oysters/oil/fois gras/wine is accessable.

see if there's a local running club or any sort group fitness classes near to you and then kill them and eat their brains, by doing this you'll obviously inherit all their physical and mental strengths

Most of the foreigners here are over weight Americans. I want to gain weight, not die of a heart attack. Though killing a few makes me tingle...

The locals are underfed. What's a Brit to do?

Fast food, nuts (no, not penises), oily foods like fries and pizza, lots of cake, and any foods with lots of calories and fat that you can burn will do the trick. To really build muscles, go to the gym every OTHER day and lift weights. On the days you don't go to the gym, do 3 mile runs - they only take like 20 minutes MAX.

On extremely humid days, just go to the gym and don't run. Bring 2 bottles of Gatorade with you when running.

Oh, and having lot of sweaty sex helps as well.

Strength training, steroids, Creatine, and McDonalds ? It wont help you, until you find a cure for the bad aids, however.

Around 20 minutes.. I'm a track runner, actually..
I'm a sprinting (doing 100meter, 200meter, and 55meter dashes), but I also did cross country for a while. I usually run a mile each day, but that's cuz I'm lazy. My best 1 mile was 5:41, 2 mile was 11:56 (4 seconds under the cut-off line for Soccer tryouts at my school), and I've never timed 3 mile runs

Not, bad. I ran the two mile in 10:54. (back in the day)
Now, it would take me about a day. :dabs:

I was a crap sprinter.

Lol

My PR for 100m was 10.19 (came in 2nd in the regional championship with that time behind this beastly black dude). 200m was something like 24.2

Sprinting is much more fun than long distance running

brotherdoobie

I prefer the longer distances myself. I like watching the sprinters, however.
Not in a queer way, lyke. (nice times, btw.)

see, running, i was good at both. Sprinting was my thing though.

I was not bad at distance. My school used to make us run 2.5 miles every school day and 10 lap of the pool before breafast. And school was on Ilkley moor so the run was more like fell running.

Shame cigarettes took over really.
