Hello, I am trying to burn a DVD... I have converted it no problem but no when I burn it and the it is done, I stick it in the DVD player and it is jumping all over the show. I am using Nero to burn the DVD.

The blank DVDs I am using are brand new as well so no scratches, marks etc...

I am also burning at a low burn speed and i don't know if that affects anything

Any ideas?

Cheers, 3lions

Close down any other programs that you have running, then try burning at 4x.

Ok, when you convert, do you get a Video TS folder or a .iso?

If it's a video ts folder, use dvdshrink to convert it to .iso and burn that, I had loads of probs burning video ts with Nero.

Use good quality media. Do a bit of research to find out which ones are actually good.

Check the media codes.

"I had loads of probs burning video ts with Nero"

Nero sucks if you go thru Start Smart and let Nero decide what to do. It wants to change things into its own formats and screws everything up, often telling you there's not enough room on a disk when you already have the right size files. For a VIDEO_TS folder, what I do is to use Nero Burning Rom directly so no alterations take place.

By going into the Nero directory (or Ahead for V6) and finding the nero.exe file (newer versions have it hidden in the CORE folder) I right click it and create a shortcut to the desktop so I can start Nero Burning directly. Then you set DVD and select DVD-Video and close the wizard and Nero sets up an empty VIDEO_TS folder for you to fill.
