Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Yoshimi Battles for the Pink Robots....i have this and have had for a long time.
"Do You Realize" i love! So to the point.
Other 2 songs from album I always skip to are "Fight Test" and "are You a Hypnotist?"
They class the FLaming Lips as new-age/experimental music. It takes a couple of listens to get into it. Don't expect rocking anthems. Bit more electronic/weird sounds, but cool enough. Give it a try.
Also, if you listen to BBC Radio1, if you go to the "listen again" link, you can listen about why they formed, afew of theirs songs etc.
Listen when your in a chilled/anxious mood. I also have a few on my "making love" playlist.:naughty:

i learnt about them after watching a set they did at Glastonbury on TV, when there were loads of people dressed in fancy-dress animal costumes. Very cool.
Just downloading the other albums now. Let me know if you find the Jools Holland thing, i cant find it. Though, i havent looked.

on the "transmissions" album,
i like the drummers' use of snare in "superhumans"
and "pilot can at the queer of god" is good also.
