when i lived in UK, when someone said Asians, i thought of Indians and Pakistanis. Now living in China, I now realise "Asians" covers a huge range of people. So, i just try to label each person by their country.

Also, when i was a kid, towel-head suggested to me people from Arabic coutries, like Saudi etc.

I'm in Eastern Canada and I think of Asians as Japanese/Chinese people. To me, men who wear turbans aren't what I'd call "Asians". They're just who they are.
