if its not the timing belt or the front tires or the brake lights or the passenger side door or the hand brake which doesn't work or the radio its the fucking exhaust, i had to get out and go all basil fawlty on its arse

kwik fit was near by so i went there and they said two parts with long names had broken and they'd need to order them in and it would cost £380 cos they don't make my car anymore and parts need to be ordered in, the car isn't even worth that much and they were liek yeah it rly sux <_<

when I worked at AutoTrader, I did this charity thing which could help u(I stole the idea from Top Gear).

Most larger car dealers/supermarkets do "part-exchange". Now, some of these they can resell, many of them they can't due to:

a) It's not road-worthy and costs more to fix than they can resell for.
b) Such shite cars on forecourt damages their company image.

Now, these cars they usually send to an auctions, or to scrap yards. What we did for charity purposes was ask the dealers to sell the shite, but road-worthy, cars to us for a pound, and we'd put them in the Trader for a few hundred etc/ any offer. All cash went to our charity.

Now,i suggest you go to a dealer/supermarket, and ask them if they have any such cars around. Most will, and will want rid as they are taking up space. Tell them it needs to be taxable/ MOT passed/passable(as Top Gear did).
I bet you'll be able to pick up a car for next to nothing, just a case of taxing it, registering it in your name.

My mate in the UK always does this. He's had mini's, some cool little things motors and a few classics. Granted, they won't last forever, but better than your current situation. I guess you're in Canada or a Yank, so maybe this won't work there, but anything, amusing as it is, is better than this:

my advice, which i forgot to include:

1) get a girlfriend with a car that isn't so breakage prone - doesn't myspace have an appropriate classified section for stuff like that? even if they don't, there are other places to advertise online, no?

or

2) get a job where they give you a company car AND let you take the car home

fucking thing <_<

A bit of advice...for future use.
Once a year or so, schedule a day- make it a family affair, lemonade, finger sandwiches, comfy lawn chairs for the onlookers- jack up the car and crawl underneath.
Scrape off the dead cats and crushed baby strollers and inspect for oil leaks and rusty bits.
Fix anything that needs fixing.

This is called "preventive maintenance"...most mechanical devices require it.
Your car is a mechanical device.

Alternatively, you could pay someone to do this for you.
These people are called "mechanics" and are commonly found in "repair shops".
You must have noticed such places...many of them feature large, brightly lit signs, usually with a specific auto manufacturer's name prominently displayed.
Thus, if you drove say, a Morgan, you'd look for a sign that said "Morgan Repair" and drive in and ask the "mechanic" to inspect your vehicle.
Then you would pay him.

This is very much like the way the rest of your life works.
Exactly like when you want sex, for instance.

You find a "hooker" and then you pay her.

Make sense?

Especially regarding the hooker bit..

anyway you could visit a scrap yard..and either buy a cheap exhaust and fit it yourself... or just leave it there ( take your bicycle with you in the boot.
