GRRRRRR!!!

I have today a very important exam,and JUST today, the stupid railways decide to go on a strike. :angry:
I tried to take the bus, but those are all full ofcourse, so now there's no way I can get to Brussels in time, which means I have to do the exam in august!!!! :angry: :angry: :(

A rain check is a deferral; putting something off for a later time.
I believe the expression originated in the US, something to do with trains or buses.

ie transport to the picnics?
I'm sure it had something to do with buying and refunding rail tickets.

Its something like on Bank Holidays, if you had prebooked or prebought a ticket to go to the seaside or wherever and it happened to rain that day, you could keep your ticket for a sunny day.

Public transport is sh*t where we are skweeky !!
there are rarely strikes but buses are never, and i reiterare, never, on time, they are either early or late !!
