i read a nice article about how m$ recommends you do not run these. they believe they are too unstable to be used.

this is the public preview that they released today. they were saying that about the private betas that they have been releasing the last couple of weeks. ;)

Instructions: 1. Extract Patches600268.exe preferably to the location where MSN Messenger 6 is installed. (Usually this is C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\)
Shut down MSN Messenger 6 (Right click the icon in your system tray and choose Exit. Logging out is not enough.)
Run Patches600268.exe

Click Detect Use the < and > buttons to go to the patch you want to apply or remove Choose the appropriate status of the patch

Click Apply this patch

i installed the msn messenger 6 two days ago, it was workin fine the first day but now it just doesnt connect, when i try and log in with windows messenger, it goes through but msn messenger simply aint workin. plz help

3) Open MSN Mess 6.0 and log in. In 50% of the cases it should work&#33;

this is a public preview I don&#39;t call it a BETA it&#39;s a new version but some small options are disabled that&#39;s all. no bugs ;)

I&#39;m having a problem.. when i startup XP msn 6 won&#39;t sign on.. even though i have it checked to do so. And then when i do sign on (manually) a box pops up saying "You&#39;ve been signed out of .NET passport cause you&#39;ve been signed on at another location" or something to that effect. I thought that maybe i still had 5.0 on my comp. and that maybe it was signing in before 6.0, but i can&#39;t find anything on 5.0 on my computer. I&#39;ve checked add/remove programs and even my processes and can&#39;t find anything. Has anybody else had this problem?? ...and how do i fix it. it&#39;s annoying.

That Offline talker thing doesnt work.. I had to reinstall msn messenger 6 because it was 100% allways offline and i couldnt talk to anyone.

if that&#39;s os x, the tool buttons are on the wrong side. hehe wish they would release msnmsg6 on osx cause i got a old one that i use to run all my messegers while i&#39;m playin a game or somethin "resource hungry"

you might have better luck finding this file in C:&#092;Documents and Settings&#092;%username%&#092;Application Data&#092;Microsoft&#092;MSN Messenger&#092;%emailaddy%&#092;configcache.xml....... ;)

msn 6 should have a way to have Fileshareing with all your buddys at once normally when u just sign on.. I love the fact that it allows u to fileshare with 1 buddy at a time for now..

if you are in a wndow with more then 1 user, you can send the same file to all of the users
