a secret that can help out any man is "talk about it". maybe she misunderstood you, and you need to clarify it for her. i know, i know, men don't like to talk about things, but it may win you brownie points. that and grovelling like the trash talking tramp you are, :).

Try and talk to her. Be reasonable and concerned, don't get pissed off at her.

If she won't listen then try writing it down and giving it to her.

If not, try asking one of her friends what she thinks you said.

And if after all that she still hates you, I'd say there's not much point in being friendly with someone so obstinate...

what i think i would do is, catch up with her, without others around, and say "hey look, brooding about this is only going to make you madder, let's stop it now, and talk, tell me what exactly what you think i said". just assert yourself, otherwise it may seem like you are just rolling over and playing dead, and that will not cement you to her very well.

if you really want her friendship you'll have to put some work in.
if you didn't say anything about her, then tell her.
if she doesn't believe you, then you have lost nothing compared to your current situation.
if you are telling the truth, and she notices that, then you'll be back to being friends and she'll see that you made an effort

to quote tony soprano (quoting mrs. soprano): "indecision is worse than wrong decision"

You're screwed and doomed to misery condemming yourself to utter failure at yourself.

OR

someone likes you... :P

Anyway, the foremost thing to do is talk to her. Good luck. B)

I am not a girl, but my friend is gay, and he is close enough to being a girl. He says that your girl friend, who doesn't want to talk to you again, based on what somebody else said, and doesn't even talk to YOU about it is, very close minded. And that the relationship is not worth continuing with that girl. You must move onto to better things.

i agree with that all they way i mean a 100%, but at the same time i have a feeling that you are not going to listen to this true and great advice that is going to save you a lot of trouble down the road :( so it you want to take the long way to ahead, here is what i would do: call her and leave her a message and say "if you don't want to talk that is fine, i just wanted to say that i have no idea what you are talking about and i thought that our friendship was a lot stronger than this, i thought we meant more to each other than this, at least you mean more to me, and i would never say anything bad about you, but if you are not even going to give me a chance to stand up for my self, that is fine, maybe you just don't want to talk any more or some thing because i have no idea what you are talking about, but still i wish you all the luck in the world and will pray that you are happy and get every thing you want in life and i will miss you princess... bye"

for this line to work you have to deliver it word for word other wise you will not get the out come you want (for her to talk to you) also after this phone call never call or talk to her again until she comes to you, these points are key and you have to follow them down to the "T"

after having make this phone call i can promise you that she will get in touch, i can't tell you when but can promise you she will try to contact you, give her some time.
once again i like to say if i were you i would just walk away because she is not worth your time ( also maybe she can't find a reason not to talk to you because the is a bi..ch and she is just making it up)
good luck player

I think that maybe she is scared that the friendship could get too serious (she's not ready for this) and has put this excuse to stop it from moving forwards. Give her some time.

Don't forget one thing. I have a great girlfriend (mate) and we are sooo good together but once she emailed me saying 'I hate you' then saying she'll never talk to me. Next two days she came and spoke to me as if nothing hapened. Advice you have is right so far but don't just think that it could be one of those mood swings and she is taking it out on you.

First things first .... try and find out what you have supposed to have said about her. Don't give up if you feel the friendship is worth fighting for, she'll hate you even more for that.

this is no friendship.... if she believes gossip without verifying...
close friends always talk... maybe you think you're closer to her then she thinks.

Let her sack in her own missery, if she thinks you worth it she come crawling back... decide then what you wanna to do
I wouldn't invest to much on such a friend.... ;) unless it's the last woman on earth...

btw Spinduliks friend says pretty much the same i agree on that...

But he admits he may of said something.....

So who is in the wrong??

I'm sure she wouldn't be acting like that without good reason. I acted the same recently - but thats because I knew something had been said.

jetje

How do you know that, how can you hear the tone, the context of what's been said.
Without having heard it yourself.... ??
It is so hard to judge... if "gossip" ruins a friendship without having talked about.. with the person that spreaded it . You really have to ask yourself if that's friendship... Hope i make myself clear, i see a difference in friendship (real good friends/real buddy) or people you meet on clubs bars or schools (plain friends , acquaintance if that is the right english word for it)...
Friends share and care for eachother..
You'll be able to make mistakes, talk about that, and be able to forgive and forget... Of course everything within a reason... but hey then it wouldn't be a friend!

The best song ever about true friendship... also James taylor's version is great!

You've Got A Friend
Carole King

When you're down and troubled
and you need a helping hand
and nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
and you know whereever I am
I'll come running, oh yeah baby
to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
all you have to do is call
and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've got a friend.

If the sky above you
should turn dark and full of clouds
and that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
and soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
all you got to do is call
and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
People can be so cold.
They'll hurt you and desert you.
Well they'll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don't you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Oh babe, don't you know that,
Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all you've got to do is call.
Lord, I'll be there, yes I will.
You've got a friend.
You've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
You've got a friend.

I always preferred The Rembrandts' I'll Be There For You:

So no one told you life was going to be this way (four claps)
Your jobs a joke, you're broke, your love life's D.O.A.
It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, but

CHORUS

I'll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you
(Like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you
('Cause you're there for me too)

You're still in bed at ten and work began at eight
You've burned your breakfast so far, things are going great
Your mother warned you there'd be days like these
But she didn't tell when the world has brought you down to your knees

CHORUS

I'll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you
(Like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you
('Cause you're there for me too)

No one could ever know me, no one could ever see me
Seems you're the only one who knows what its like to be with me
Someone to face the day with, make it through all the rest with
Someone I'll always laugh with
Even at my worst, I'm best with you
Yeah!

(Repeat Chorus x2)

Bridge Over Trouble Water

When you’re weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I’m on your side. When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you’re down and out,
When you’re on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I’ll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pain is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind.

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

Here's one for you and me Curley ;)

Blood On Blood
Jon Bon Jovi/Richie Sambora/Desmond Child

I can still remember
When I was just a kid
When friends were friends forever
And what you said was what you did

Well, it was me and Daddy and Bobby
We cut each other's hands
And held tight to a promise
Only brothers understand

But we were so young (so young)
One for all and all for one (for one)
Just as sure as the river's gonna run

Blood on blood
One on one
We'd still be standing
When all was said and done
Blood on blood
One on one
And I'll be here for you
Till Kingdom come
Blood on blood

Well, Bobby was our hero
Cause he hed a fake I.D.
I got busted stealing cigarettes
And he took the rap for me

Danny knew this white trash girl
We each threw in a ten
She took us to this cheap motel
And turned us into men

We were so young (so young)
One for all and all for one (for one)
Just as sure as the river's gonna run

Blood on blood
One on one
We'd still be standing
When all is said and done
Blood on blood
One on one
And I'll be here for you
Till Kingdom come
Blood on blood

(Solo)

Now Bobby, he's an uptown lawyer
Danny, he's a medicin man
And me, I'm just the singer
In a long haired rock'n'roll band

Through the years and miles between us
It's been a long and lonely ride
But if I got a call in the dead of the night
I'd be right by your side

Blood on blood, blood on blood

Blood on blood
One on one
We'd still be standing
When all is said and done
Blood on blood
One on one
And I'll be here for you
Till Kingdom come
Blood on blood

Blood on blood

No! Livin on a Prayer' that should be, poor ol tommy and geena
or mabey In these arms 2nite, man I love that song.....sing that to her/him

Bon Jovi - In these arms

You want commitment
Take a look into these eyes
They burn with a fire, just for you now
Until the end of time
I would do anything
I'd beg, I'd steal, I'd die
To have you in these arms tonight
Baby I want you like the roses
Want the rain
You know I need you
Like a poet needs the pain
I would give anything
My blood my love my life

If you were in these arms tonight
I'd hold you
I'd need you
I'd get down on my knees for you
And make everything alright
If you were in these arms
I'd love you
I'd please you
I'd tell you that I'd never leave you
And love you till the end of time
If you were in these arms tonight

We stared at the sun
And we made a promise
A promise this world would never blind us
These are my words
Our words were our songs
Our songs are our prayers
These prayers keep me strong
It's what I believe
If you were in these arms tonight

If you were in these arms tonight
I'd hold you
I'd need you
I'd get down on my knees for you
And make everything alright
If you were in these arms
I'd love you
I'd please you
I'd tell you that I'd never leave you
And love you till the end of time
If you were in these arms tonight

Your clothes are still scattered
All over our room
This old place still smells like
Your cheap perfume
Everything here reminds me of you
And there's nothing that I
Wouldn't do to be in your arms

And these were our words
They keep me strong
I'd hold you
I'd need you
I'd get down on my knees for you
And make everything alright
If you were in these arms
I'd love you
I'd please you
I'd tell you that I'd never leave you
And love you till the end of time
If you were in these arms tonight

I think I might learn to play that today! :)
