View Full Version : Vista failing upgrades

Hello,

My vista has 5 upgrades failing

Now i am getting error codes

80070002

and

800F0826

Now ive followed the Microsoft guides to to correct these failers and they still fail so im stuck the updates just will not install im lost

Anyone know n e thing i can try

Try updating one at a time, with your firewall and anti virus turned off.

Im just trying it by downloading them from the microsoft site and installing see if it works

Got it down to 1 update and its just not having it vista doesn't want to know

M$ is a pain ringing them can never get through

Call M$. They owe you support.Nope, they don't. They charge you for ANY support outside of installation. So, after you install the OS you're on your own unless you pay.

Did you turn off Windows Firewall when trying to install this one?

Do you use another firewall?

I just tried it with windows firewall turned off then when pc started up i couldn't log in because the logon service wouldn't start up so i had to do a system restore ARGH

If you use another firewall then you don't really need that update.;)

So is it a anti virus and firewall and anti spam all in one or just a firewall just looking on nsane now

KIS is an all-in-one jobby.

What protection do you have on your pc, firewall, a/v etc...?

Im using NOD32 for A/V and WIndows Vista Firewall and Windows Defender

I know. I was just pointing out that there are versions that don't work with Vista. Sorry for the confusion.

Ive used ZOneAlarm before back on Win98 so will give it a go thanks for the help and info
