Avi 2 Mpg

Is there a quicker and easier way to convert .avi movie files into mpegs (to burn to vcds)? i've tried TMPGenc but it takes so friggin long..any ideas..cheers in advance ;)

Not really thats why most ppl use tmpe..its easy and gives the best quality.
As for speed...the only real way is to upgade ur cpu

there probably are quicker ways but to get the software ur probably gonna have to shell out

The reason it takes so long is its converting 25 to 29 aprox frames per every second (lol)..The only way to make it faster is to get a faster cpu or use less resources on yours when converting...

cheers for the help people, gonna stick with tmpg and leave that PC converting all night long...... ;)
