It may be your videocard dying. how many times has this happened, and has it been the same every time?

Does it do this hooked up to another computer / does another monitor do this hooked up to your computer?

I hooked up another monitor in the cpu and it's working. I think the problem is the monitor. It has black lines all over. What seems to be wrong?

Nice monitor. I like its specs.

VB is just implying that he wants to know the specifications of the monitor :)

My monitor is a CRT type ok? :)

So what's wrong with the CRT monitor with black horizontal lines on it? I bought this last Feb.

I'll buy LCD next time..

It's borked. Unless it's under warranty, it would be cheaper to buy another CRT than get it repaired.

If it's still in warranty, get it repaired.
If it's out of warranty, buy another monitor.

Get a nice used 17" CRT from craigslist $10-$25. I got a Dell (Sony) $10. Kicks 95% of all LCDs in clarity.

Let it go VB. Or else petition the pwers that be for ban power. For those that don't answer your spec questions.

Yes..I've decided I'll just buy another monitor. It's not covered by warranty anymore.

I hope I can buy a monitor as cheap as that here but unfortunately a 17" CRT costs at around P1,800 - P2,000 here and the conversion of $1 is P45. Just count guys and see how much is a monitor here..pretty expensive right?:frusty:

A pc in the US is 40% cheaper compared to here..

Thanks guys for the help..till next time I have a problem, i'll just holler to you all..:yup:
