Today I checked out SS for the first time and I really like it. I dl a few files but mainly just got to know how everything worked. It's really nice. I read a lot of good things about SS but was kinda scared to try it, emule crashed my hard drive this week and I lost everything, but I'm glad I did. No more dl'ing mp3's from Kazaa for me,thanks for the link. :D
edit: apparently I forgot how to type screwed up the title to this thread :P

I took a look at SoulSeek and it seems really interesting !
I have a ton of CDs but unfortunately I don't have the time to rip and make them avaialble to share with the community... :(
Will try to teach my son and see if he can do it for me, though :)

It was nice seeing you in the room BigBank_Hank. ;) We welcome ALL new members to join us there - and keep in mind we like to kid and joke with new members, so don't take anything too seriously, as you may be scared away. :o
Looking forward to seeing you (the person reading this and deciding to join us), and don't hesitate to ask for help with the set-up and functions of SoulSeek. :) The most of us really are a helpful bunch.
See ya' soon,
Tchau!

Organizing is a pain in the ass. I had over 4500 files to organize, and it took forever. Actually, I'm still working on it, but my files are looking nice too. B)

i used tag&rename 3 and was able to do around 7000 in about 3 hours or so. and it's easy to do it as you go along now. there are similar tagging programs out there, but i haven't used them, so can't judge them. I've also totally changed the the standard that i name my files by, from "Artist - Track - Title" to "Track - Artist - Title" and it only took me a few hours. I renamed all the folders to to "Year - Artist - Title" and that only took an hour.
Good program.

Jibbler I saw all your files, man that is impressive. I must admit that it was a pain in the ass to get everything organized but now that I'm done it was well worth it. Things are much easier to find, and its just not as frustrating when I'm looking for one particular song. I only had about 700 to do so I got off easy good luck Jibbler B)
