how do I open a video file called xvid? it has the extension .avi but it won't open in dvix player (2.1)
any idea? thx

xvid is a similar codec to divx, but it is separate. they are both variations of mpeg 4, along with windows media i believe. so you need to install the xvid codec to view xvid movies.

Ye..besides needin a xvid codec..i think divx player has a few probs playin xvid movies..well the older versions did anyway. :D
