Windows to Mac Ratio

What do you think that ratio of Windows Bittorrent users to Mac users?

Its probably already been asked, but hey, I'm new and I want to know.:D

I'd say...

Windows - 90%

Mac - 8%

Linux - 2%

Really? I thought Windows dominated Mac even more than that in the P2P world.

My thoughts are--


Windows- 95% Mac- 4% Linux- 1%


Maybe because I never really come into contact with anyone that uses Linux.

I'd say windows have a really good percentage, probably close to 90 i'd say. Macs have become more popular lately, so I'd have to agree with fstfulz on the exact percentages. I've never heard this question asked before and is a useful one to know.
I like windows better, but for media (video editing and music making) I like Macs, and I like being hosted on a linux server. So they're all good in their own way. :)

So based on these actual numbers, we have these percentages.

Windows: 93.70%
Linux: 1.81%
Mac: 4.49%

Pretty close to what everybody was guessing.

Similar %'s on another couple of trackers that have these kind of user stats.

Got to laugh at the two windows 98 users though!

Interesting to see that the stats of computers running Linux/Unix is rising. I guess that many users decided to turn their old computers into dedicated seed boxes.
I did this one year ago with an old PIII-650: simply installed Debian with rtorrent and it works great.

The percentage of Linux users is growing, probably due to the popularity of Ubuntu.
