2bros, decent CAMS before scene groups get the dvdr of theres and enc and up ( canalstreet )
THS .. tophos dudes, great work like a group, but on a torrent site..amazing work!!
-CompressionKings (-CK) .. great group, lost the only server they actually got offered to upload to then people uploaded on torrent sites ( e.g TL, RevoTT ) didnt get offered any more yet had 1000' odd downloads on the major sites.
TUS KVCD GROUP - demonoid legends!!!

few more... but no one say aXXo ffs, the guys a fake, nicks scene dvdr's and enc's, woopie, the guy needs a rocket up his ass!!

i don't know much about p2p groups, i usually download scene release only but i remember TUS and KVCD back in the days. Great groups

P2p groups don't need to respect scene rules, which are old fashioned.
My favorite P2P group is UnSeeN, they do high quality movies releases (Advanced Filesize Regulation).

LOL is scene, though.

ESiR is my favorite, for a long time it has released highdef content exclusively to HDBits. While that seems to have changed and some of their latest releases can even be found on some pre-site(channel) they originated on a private bittorrent tracker.

CtrlHD is cool too, I love them for their tv series mpeg2 transport streams that you won't find anywhere else but on the tracker of their choice.

I'm sure that there are other groups as well but they don't matter much to me. The thing is, you won't see much of a difference in quality between scene-stuff and stuff from p2p-groups with regular releases, on highdef however the scene has much to learn.

I personally liked alot of the axial releases...
I like older films mainly so alot of their stuff was within my ballpark range so to speak.

-CK still has access to a server... they just decide not to use it I suppose.
They were doing really well with recompressing scene releases to mp4 but they it halted suddenly. They seemed to be getting alot of hits on their files and they were spreading really good.

Drow... you need to get a clue on what really goes on with video releases.
MOST of the vcd/xvid groups in the scene nowadays just take their releases from p2p groups. (I have logs of convos with these groups as well as many of their home ip addresses.) Can name a whole list of groups I have personally caught doing this... but dont think theres any point in doing so since noobs like you will always beleive whatever the hell you want.

BTW... Xor and LOL are scene groups not p2p.
Also... alot of the p2p groups who do their own encodes follow most of the scene standards... theres a few groups who use their own standards for other formats... like HD ect..
