I got this application pack via e-mail from Hilton but I can't open it.
When I download it on the PC it comes up as a unknown file.
Tried opening it with Word and Notepad but I get only funny looking symbols.

Tried opening with access, powerpoint, excel, adobe reader and internet explorer but none of these programmes allow the file to be opened :(

There is no option to look for a programme online to open the file.

Any ideas?

whats the full file name?

have you tried changing the .whatever to .doc or .exe or something?

that's the thing..

it's called 'attach3'

It has no file name like .doc or .exe.

It's a bit weird

It's not checked, so I can't uncheck it.

tho' saying that, it'd only be hiding the extension if it new what the file type was:pinch:

lmao

When I open it in Word at the very top it says :

€ IPM.Microsoft Mail.Note1

I can't seem to find anything about IPM files.
Microsoft mail is what goes with Outlook, is it not?

It'd be easier if you add it as an attachment to this thread, and then we can have a go, rather than playing this game.

Sounds like a zip file to me.

Don't bother using winrar to open it or anything stupid like that, Windows can open that type of archive itself.

You know, it might be a .zip-file.

Sextent

And what would you suggest using to open that, Snee.

I always think of you as my "What would you use to open that filetype" guy.

Right skweekster, whose reply was better, mine or Snee's.

Based entirely on laughability.
