i found this movie just as non-funny as season 11-18. simpsons stopped being good after season 10. that's where they shoulda stopped. seeing how they started making this movie 6 years ago that puts it around season 12, but to give it that name it should stopped @ 10. A DECADE OF THE SIMPSON NOW THE MOVIE!!! woulda sounded great... RIP simpsons.. LONG LIVE FUTURAMA!! not that i don't like the simpson, but hell it's just not good anymore. for those who disagree perhaps u never saw the early simsons or perhaps i just don't get todays younger humor anymore. meh, i watched it anyway. :o

Movie was mediocre at best.

I agree with mr.nails that The Simpsons peaked a long time ago and this movie was no exception. It was just a long Simpsons episode, really. Nothing Special. A couple of funny parts but overall, meh.

I saw the movie the other night and thought exactly what you do. I have seasons 1-8 on DVD but am scared to get anymore. The show did, sadly, go downhill.

Good movie despite the fact that I'm terminally bored of the Simpsons by now.

I feel the same way. The first few years were fantastic, but after 8+ years I just got burned out. I won't be seeing the movie, but I'm sure it would be entertaining for those that can still stand the show.

I found it to be more funny than the regular T.V. show. Homer- "Gay, Gay, Gay, Gay"

That was a 90 minutes average episode to me, i expected much tbh and the spiderpig thing is so over hyped

The fact that they showed (what appeared to be) Bart's twig and dingle berries was totally worth it. It had its moments, I enjoyed it for the most part, but it was still the "same ole' Simpson's" script.

I think what it lacks most is the crude and perverted humor we see in shows these days such as Futurama, Family Guy, and American Dad (or most everything on Adult Swim! :P ). And whereas good old fashioned comedy/humor is entertaining from time to time... I fear it just won't be able to keep up with the new content coming out. :(

We live in perverted times, my friend!

I saw it and it was ok for me. The movie should have come out earlier and it would have been funnier. I still had a few good laughs though. "Spider-pig, spider-pig . . . does whatever the spider-pig does" is my favorite part. Then of course you got the President, "I am paid to lead, not to read." Overall a good movie if you didn't watch too many episodes of the Simpsons.
