Finally, after a very very long time, yesterday I went to see the dentist. :yup:
I've always been so freaked of the dentist but after all this time, the cavities in my back teeth started to worry me,
not that they hurt, but I don't want them to, so I gathered some will strength and made an appointment.
Then, when I got there, I actually told the (mid aged lady) doctor how I felt about going to The Dentist and she said,
'Oh, that's my specialty' (nervous patients that is). Then I told her the reason for my long overdue visit,
then after making the usual evaluation she said that it was more imperative that
I got a 'Dental Cleaning' this time and the cavities could wait and be taken care off in a week or so.

Damn, I always had this horrifying idea of the Dental Cleaning, I had even seen pictures of it, and people had told me these painful and traumatic tales,
but since I was already there, and knew how hard it was for me to get the courage to go, I sad 'well, Go for it' Oh God I thought.
But then I was really surprised when I learned that not anesthetics would be used, the lady said 'just wait and relax, and you'll see how I work',
some how her comprehensiveness of my situation made me feel better.
Well, she got all these painful looking instruments and got to work,
she kept pooching at my gums and teeth for a few minutes, may be 20 to 30,
there was little blood that I could see, I was afraid, but surprised at how all that Cracking caused no a bit of pain.
finally after it was done I washed my mouth and actually it seems there was more blood that I though, but it was quickly gone,
then she used this sand-like blue paste with a mechanical miniature toothbrush and it was over. She gave my this mirror and... Wow! :01:
Everything looked very different, I mean, it was a dramatic improvement,
and since yesterday, my gums just keep improving, I didn't remember they could look this healthy...
I made sure to thank her for making this a very pleasant visit to the dentist.
The thing is that I was such a good experience for me,
so I felt like telling U about it.

meh.. the dental hygienist that did my cleaning recently didnt care too much about pain. She hooked and prodded the insides of my teeth as if she was searching for hidden gold. Had to raise my hand a few times to stop her. She did give me the option of anesthetics but i had too much pride to indulge in one...

The result was dramatic i had to admit. Maybe ill come back in less than a decade next time around.

I had a root canal done once. Needless to say I'd rather take a trip to the 7th Circle of Hell before I ever do that again.

Knock me out, put me under.. wake me up when you're done.

Yeah I know, and from what 'Dafy' says, I believe it's better to spare your self all the pain.
Here in Tijuana, it cost me $35 US Dlls for the Dental Cleaning and
fillings are about $15 to $20 US Dlls.
And the service is quite Competent in most of the cases,
don't let your self be mislead by all the myths about Mexican dental service.
It's just that Dental Service is affordable here in Mexico, as other things are affordable in other places.
