it may happen for example if he seeds at home, but he is at work, and has an urge to listen to one of the albums he forgot to upload onto ipod .

Angelchx08 , it is ok, but it will hurt your ratio :)

Wow, nice responses...

It's fine, it isn't against the rules. Don't worry, Oink doesn't give a shit about what you download.

There's no problem downloading the torrents that you uploaded...

When my hard drive died, I had to download a lot of stuff that I uploaded in OiNK.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the truth behind this. I guess that is because anytime the topic of cheating is brought up, a thread is closed, like its some voodoo topic you can't talk about. Admins, we aren't little 13 yr old children who need to be censored from stuff. Cheating happens. If we talk about it, it can help us stop it. Knowledge is power.

If you upload a file, and then download it, Oink has crazy scripts and I would have thought they would ban you... for some reason fstrulz got away with it. Under normal circumstances, if you upload a file, then download it = ban for cheating.

mforcex...

Downloading your own torrents is the same as downloading any other torrent - your Download and Upload are both reported to the tracker... There could be a lot of reasons why someone would download his/her own uploaded torrent(s) - and one example was my situation where I lost my files when my hard drive died.

So next time, I'd advice that you think* before you make weak accusations, so you won't end up being like an idiot. :)
