Is it normal iam getting speeds like 50kbps, when i upload torrent and there is just single leecher (ofc its NOT his connect).
Getting really dissapointed.. Also when iam seeding, there are 300 leechers and only few of them connected to me.


I got this reply from lee:

1. Servers are on 100Mbps Segments (I have multiple segments) The bandwidth
amoung the VMs is shared.

VM1 VM2 VM3 etc ---HostNode ---100Mbps ---> Switch -->GigE 1000Mbps
VM4 VM5 VM6 etc ---HostNode ---100Mbps ---> Switch -->GigE *
etc

2. The 100Mbps segments are connected to 1000Mbps uplinks

3. The datacenter is planning to make some changes to the network on
08/01/2007 The degraded performance problably has something to do with this,
It could also be a peering problem between you and the datacenter as everyone
doesn't have that problem. Hopefully, the changes will improve things for
you.But still in doubts it will improve the performance.

i used to have better speeds than i do now.maybe after 8/1 they will increase again.

That's a pretty cheap rate but I hear it takes lee a long time to UP it :ohmy:

Yup you pretty much get what you pay for. I have had them for a month and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. The server also went down sometime today and is still down. I can't ssh in :(. This is why I went ahead and got a nice Vectoral box, more money but no more headaches! :D

It's strange. I'm going to likely be moving on from leeware soon, but i've hit 1.5MB/s download to the server over BT, but my home connection isn't being maxed out when i download from my server.

If i'm lucky i might be pushing 400KB/s to my home, and another 150KB over BT. Not exactly blazing, but for $20 not bad.

Yes you get 1.5-2.5MB/s at times if its a really popular torrent. It does not however last, after 20min to 1 hour tops its back down to slow speeds. It has poor routing and can't keep up on top sites like FTN, SCT etc. It's perfectly fine if you want to use it on TL or RevTT where you consistently get 100-300 peers connecting to you. Leeware turns you into a babysitter. It is good for those with home connects that are 1Mbit or less.

I hear that! I was relieved when my month was up, it was like a part time job running that damn thing. :yup:
