I just bought leeware and set everything up but I'm not able to upload anything faster than 5 kbps? How do I make my upload speeds much better, my download speeds are fine but I bought this for uploading purposes? Any help would be appreciated.

unbri

what do you mean by right port?

my utorrent on leeware has a green connection so the port should be fine

haha yeah i knew it wasn't gonna be the best but i just wanted to experiment and figured it was only 20 bucks...i figured i'd mess with it until i knew what i was doing and then after a month cancel it and go with something better.

Lee is doing something with the network. If you didnt break anything you should send him an email asking whats going on and how he might reimburse you for the trouble ;)

unbri

ok...lol I didn't break anything I have everything set up accordingly and the webui is finally working...just had to change the port to 1600 since my ISP was blocking 8080. Well I emailed him and I hope the speeds increase soon. Thanks.

I have this too. Same speeds, so dont worry, ur not alone in this ..*cough*
Also getting used, that this speeds are normal. Its like 500kbps connect when u got just 1 peer. I sent Lee 'whine-mail' and recieved this (posted it in another thread few days back)

1. Servers are on 100Mbps Segments (I have multiple segments) The bandwidth
amoung the VMs is shared.

VM1 VM2 VM3 etc ---HostNode ---100Mbps ---> Switch -->GigE 1000Mbps
VM4 VM5 VM6 etc ---HostNode ---100Mbps ---> Switch -->GigE *
etc

2. The 100Mbps segments are connected to 1000Mbps uplinks

3. The datacenter is planning to make some changes to the network on
08/01/2007 The degraded performance problably has something to do with this,
It could also be a peering problem between you and the datacenter as everyone
doesn't have that problem. Hopefully, the changes will improve things for
you.

Well, you can hope this is ur case.
But if u ask me - i dont think so :P

Thanks a lot for that information...I just got an email from lee about the upgrade but he didn't give me any of that information...I really appreciate it. Thanks.

How's it going so far unbri? Getting the hang of it yet?

unbri
08-01-2007, 04:32 AM
yeah it's not too hard i set every thing up and finally got the webui working so now it's so much easier to check the speeds....i just want him to upgrade the server so i can actually upload stuff because it's slow as hell right now. thanks for asking.

i think i know why my speeds are so bad because i just checked to see if the port for utorrent was ok and it said "error" but the thing is the icon color is green with a check mark...how do I fix this issue to port forward on my leeware...i tried port forwarding a port on my router and setting that port on leeware but it didn't work? any suggestions?

i forwarded the port and when i go to dslreports through firefox on my leeware box it says the port is ok but the icon on utorrent is still red and says i should change the listen port? what is going on?

So you guys feel like speeds improved after 1.8?
Mine seems still the same

unbri
08-01-2007, 09:51 AM
my speeds are the same...I download stuff fast on my leeware box and can't upload more than 1 kbps no matter how many seeders to leechers there are...i don't quite understand it, but I hope the server is still being upgraded because if not I'm going to try to get a refund.

stroj

Well, my case is, when there is really lot of peers, i got like 20kbps per one.. So i can get 1mb speed. But thats only @ TL, RevTT and such. Its really annoying, i'll mail Lee, if there is anything he could do about this.

I got sometimes too red warning - that iam unconectable, i just change port and after change it back to the 'default' one. After while its working again.

stoj at least you're getting speeds my speeds are lucky to hit 10 kbps most the time I'm around 1 - 5 kpbs...I know leeware is on the cheap end of seedboxes but I thought it'd be a little better than this? I really hope this server upgrade increases speeds.

When is the Server Upgrade going to be?

unbri
08-01-2007, 10:57 AM
the upgrade is supposed to be in progress now to increase speeds but idk if it's going to increase speeds as mine have been the same for the past 3 days.

4ndy
08-01-2007, 10:59 AM
when will the upgrade be complete?

unbri
08-01-2007, 11:07 AM
Lee said within the next few days you can email him if you want to know exactly when the upgrade will be complete...as for the actual date I do not know. I just hope it's not complete yet because then it means my speeds don't have a chance of ever increasing.
