Bounty Bay Online is set in the 15th century and while you can slap on a eye patch as a pirate and mutter about doubloons the career options don't end there. Want to be a merchant plying your trade? You can. Or how about an adventurer seeking glory and fortune? You can be that too and more as you romp around Europe, Africa and Asia.

I played Bounty Bay Online and didn't like it.

Anyway pirates of the burning sea (http://www.burningsea.com/pages/page.php?pageKey=home) comes out at the end of this month (6 years in the making!) its going to be the daddy of all sailing games,set in The Caribbean of 1720s
