I was planing on building a new system:
ASUS P5K Deluxe and the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU

The new CPU E6750 seems to have better specs and is slightly cheaper

Is the E6600 better in any way (more stable or ...)?

And whats the difference between "boxed" and "tray" versions?

Would appriciate any advice :)

Boxed= retail= typically, longer warranty and includes heatsink.

Tray= OEM= just get chip and shorter warranty.

no, get the 6750.

there is no reason to get the E6600 when you can get the E6750...faster FSB and a higher multiplier, if you are into overclocking

If you can afford it definitely get the E6750. There's no reason to choose the E6600 over the E6750 except for price.

You've cleared my doubts too, I'll definitely get one of those when building my new PC
