Everytime I reboot my computer, I get a screen that tells me to select what I want to do; run windows xp, or continue installing xp (a while ago I started to re-install xp but had to stop right in the middle of it) how do I get rid of this screen, so i dont have to select which one I want to do?

You have to go into the root of the partition you installed from and delete all files that look like - $filename$
any thing with dollar signs is a temp install file.
then make sure your good system is set as default in
Control panel/system/advanced/startup and recovery options.
then edit the boot.ini to remove the temp install. If there's an extra line that looks like this >
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(*)\*********="Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server" /fastdetect , take it out and click save. (it may say windows XP setup)
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(*)\*******
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(*)\*********="Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server" /fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows"
here is what my winxp home one looks like.
[boot loader]
timeout=3
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
