Brazil continues to be one of the worst offenders in cheating ratios and setting up multiple accounts. Just 72 hours ago I spent about 2-3 hours tracking down over 100 accounts the we believe were all owned by a small group of 3-4 people. The amount of work being forced on staff by a few bad apples in Brazil far outweighs the contributions made by honest brazilian members, and staff are once again discussing adding one or two more countries to the blocklists. :-( Brazil, India, Turkey, Egypt and Portugal being the absolute worst offenders. Those countries currently make up about 90-95% of our problem members. Poland and Hungary are trying to gain access to that top-5, though, it would seem

Who cares? bitmetv isn't the greatest site in the world anyways.. i mean its good and all but nothing spectacular where you should be upset if you can't use it.

How do you figure? In my opinion bitmetv isn't the greatest site in the world, so there's no use in getting upset of them banning more countries. Am I not allowed to have an opinion?

You are alowed to an opinion unless is not painfully stupid. I am curious how many people agree with you on this one? That tracker is the absolute paradise for every TV watcher , you are the first person that i know to say bitmetv isn't that great and no problem if you lose it :|

Hahaha. I don't really care what you think. Bitmetv isn't that great in my opinion. The staff there is extremly paranoid and lazy if you ask me. Between the crap with all the countries getting banned and only being allowed to use a few clients it's disgusting.

If utorrent 1.7.2 is good enough for FTN, it's definitley good enough for bitmetv. The site is overrated and ugly.

That's just my opinion though. You go to your church and I go to mine dragos. I'd appreciate if you would stop calling me stupid. Not very nice, don't you agree?

There isn't another site quite like bitmetv though, you can't find alot of the content there anywhere else, so i don't see how you can say its overrated. I hardly use the tracker as i don't watch much tv, but even i can see its value to the torrent scene.

Sure, the content is good, but there's many more aspects to a site other than just it's content. The community isn't very friendly and I don't like the rules and the site to be honest is ugly.

But then again, just my opinion

bitmetv is just taking the easy way by banning whole countries ,i guess it's time that another with speed and content of bitmetv start to arise as it seems that in 1 year they are going to ban the whole world and the tracker will be only used by their staff

TVtorrents is an alternative but still not good enough ,hope anew good private tracker specialized in tvseries arises to decrease the depend of bitmetv as the first source for alot of members

+1 for me :yup:

BitmeTV are going to learn a very valuable lesson if they continue down this path. They are only as good as the members that decide to use their site. What do they really offer? Nothing but an index service. It's the cappers, the uploaders, the users who make BitmeTV something special and not some fascist dictator that calls himself a sysop. Remember the exile from empornium to cheggit? Remember TB getting knocked offline for months? They should really learn to respect their users, because without them they are nothing.

My advice to BitmeTV: Better be careful, you're playing with fire.

I'm confused. They ban countries with a large population of cheaters, but allow honest individuals in. This is bad and going to teach them a lesson how?

In Turkey yet the speeds and prices have been changed. They lowered the prices and increased speeds. So i am sure Turkey will be out of the list very soon :)

why trackers allways do collective punishment????
it's hurt the innocents...

ROFL, I love all this speculation when nothing has actually been done. Anyways.. as I have said many many many times before. The problem is NOT the countires - its dynamic ip's. Plus nothing has been done so this is just another of those rumour mill posts because of a staff member posting an 'IF' post.. and not a 'WE ARE AND ITS DONE' post. It's amazing how people twist things to suit their cause.

Well this was one of the things i was afraid of.I only knew Israel as the only country banned. But with this post my deepest fear mught come true.My country getting banned. An ill be honest with all you,i know a few cheaters and ratio busters and dont understand why they need 1-2 TB buffer, plus the have 100 trackers. When dealing with kids there is always a smart aleck who thinks he īs samrter them the rest.
I cheated on only 1 tracker about 400gb,but stoped a few months later.
Wasnt caught and fortunate that im still there.
I was banned from Revvott, which i did nothing wrong, the problem was my router 1 day decided to go wacko and all my torrents turned red.Of all 5 trackers at the time only revott banned me.Took me 5 months but got another account and hardly use it.

Hope they dont ban my country but if they do,they will loose a lot of good members

This is really a joke... Banning whole countries won't get them any further in their sacred fight. TvTorrents is getting better, and there will be more successors to come. Maybe BitMeTv will be just another ordinary tracker as all others on market.

lol cry me a river
whatever makes the site run smoother, if this means the admins will have more time for the site by banning the majority of cheaters, then so be it.
the admins have already explained that anyone that wants to spend the time and set up an ip, they don't have a problem with.

I'm not even going to bother posting in here anymore because the majority (not all) of you don't even bother to read or listen. Enjoy your speculation.

probably somewhere on the site is the source, and talk about stereotypes. they need a better method than banning countries

Well, ibslice, on of the admins over there, wrote a few posts earlier that the quote was a what-if scenario from a site-mod. This looks to me like it's a valid quote but it's also quite possible that someone posted this in the heat of the moment after he was particularly pissed for newly banning a hundred members ;)

Guys, slow down for a moment, you can always trash them when or if they really ban more countries :D Until that happens, lets give them the benefit of the doubt.

TvTorrents is not as good as BitMeTV yet, but they do have their advantages. With only 8k+ torrents they have almost 100k peers, BitMeTV has 15k torrents and 75k peers. I'm convinced about the potential and TvT should be mentioned and recommended, if not as a BitMeTV-substitute then as an alternative.

Ibslice has made it clear numerous times that countries may get an IP ban (like Israel) however trusted members who are willing to get a static IP or go to the IRC everytime they log on can have the ban lifted. so I don't really see how this is an issue?
