What is the point in a irc bonus. To me this is very stupid as all yoru doing is sitting in a channel, you are not uploading and or downloading. Sounds to me its just a ploy to get members and buffer there soon to be traded accounts.

I believe that an IRC bonus can be a good idea to help the creation of a community. On the other hand, it doesn't guarantee an IRC-channel that's actually alive! As a temporary solution to achieve some goal, this might just work very well - permanent on the other hand, I doubt it'll have much of a positive effect on the tracker.

PWT has recently introduced a new bonus system as well which is thankfully very low with 120MB/day.
