I got an oink invite a yesterday(free giveaway), and today it says, " account has been disabled".
Can anyone tell why?
Is it that Indian IPs are banned in Oink or something?

Internet Relay Chat? How can I talk to them using that? Or am I missing something here?

lol, I see I'm not the only one then.
I was really confused and frustrated coz i'd spent 15 mins reading the rules and faq to confirm the 5 gb ratio-less period...
This really suck, it's good that I got 600 MBs down alteast - still I cant bear missing out...
Did you use a proxy?
Did you have a previous account there?
Have you tried in the irc?
What the hell for? It certainly won't yield any accurate or intelligent response. He'll be told he cheated and then booted from the channel.

No kidding, basically your going to get you cheated no matter what you did so save your self the headache and forget the IRC.
An explanation on what happened is too much to ask from them apparently.

refresh your modem, new IP, delete cookies, then get new account................

No I dont use a proxy, but have dynamic IP. Maybe they didnt like that(but I dont thing they're that dumb)

Yeah, he had multiple accounts and was giving away multiple invites - no hard feelings for him though, atleast he was trying to help.

Oink staff often disable accounts with dynamic ip i heard.. but i think there is another reason why your acc was disabled.. i think you should ask in irc about this..

once you are banned .. there is no way of getting that account .. and they have a useless irc help channel ..
try to get a new account ... and write down that banned ip somewhere .. so that you wont accidently login to that banned ip with your new account !

Actually, the Oink mods are pretty helpful if you explain your problem correctly and if you're not at fault. :)
I talked to them, and my account has been restored coz they understand that it was not my fault. So I'm back on Oink as long as I dont break any rules.
For all the innocent and banned members here, I suggest you explain your situation properly and have a little patience, you're likely to get restored if you didnt do anything illegal.

I was just talking about my personal experience. I dont know what happened to the other guys, but they were quite cooperative with me and I can only be thankful for that.

1. I talked to an oink mod.
2. My account has been reactivated.
3. Everything of what I said is true, but again I'm just speaking about my situation - you guys may have had different experiences.

Probably something to do with the person who invited me - it was no fault of my own, and thats why they helped me out :)
