I orginally thought somebody1234.5 was the best but I now think motionmaster 4's is the best even though it doesn't have the logo.

Well I agree that it&#39;s a very hard decision to have to make :blink: I would have gone for any of them, but one ethic (possibly the only one I got) is that I don&#39;t vote for myself; IMO it&#39;s unfair to do that.

I can&#39;t believe everyone has not chosen illuminati 3 as the best logo for this forum. All the others are great but illuminati 3&#39;s logo is very creative and stands out above all the rest. Like I said the others are great but too simplistic and plain. illuminati 3&#39;s is bright, energetic, and says alot for this forum..Just my 2 cents worth :D

Well I&#39;m not sure what will happen to them - There is already a banner contest going on which I&#39;ve been meaning to do (but have tried to wait for this to finish first). Until I decide to do something about them, I&#39;ll leave if they should be used that way to Paul & VB - It&#39;s really their site that the logos would be representing, so I&#39;m happy with whatever they decide :)

However, you&#39;d have to put a shot out to my site, Illuminati Development, somewhere on your site though (coming as soon as I&#39;m done :D) - I&#39;ll be putting those same images on the site as well, so they&#39;ll be no chance of having them ripped off ;):devil::D

I think 1234.5 is the most impressive to look at and the most artistic.

However I think Motion&#39;s fits in best with the overall look of the board I can see it sitting naturally with the rest of the look. I also think the fact that it mentions K++ is good, as that is the version I (and I think most people here) use.

Hence my indecision. In the end I voted for the Motion one. Sorry Motion I have jinxed you now.

It is by far the best logo because it stands out a lot more. It uses more colours, rather than just blue and white. It also shows that K-Lite is global and that everyone uses it

no if it was just those two the outcome would be different because the people who voted for the others would now have thier choice limited to the two. Well I have held back my comments long enough. It&#39;s not close. I won the first poll. Now I&#39;m winning this one.

The rules of this contest keep changing. New rules each time that we were not made aware that this is the way things would go. The first poll was supposed to be one (1) logo per entrant with the entrant to choose which of his creations would be in the poll. Then VB put up the poll with too many choices. Some of my logos (but not all) were included, even the logos that were posted as "in development" and were meant as examples so I could hear peoples suggestions and ideas. Many of my logos in the first poll did very well.

In fact I still don&#39;t understand VBs method of choosing the finalists.

The votes in the first poll were as follows.

1- Somebody1234.5 --------- 45 votes
2- Somebody1234.4 --------- 37
3- Illuminati 1 ---------------- 34
4- Illuminati 3 ---------------- 32
5- Somebody1234.1 --------- 15
6- Somebody1234.2 --------- 15
7- tite-wad 3 ------------------ 15
8- motionmaster 1 ----------- 13
9- motionmaster 4 ----------- 13

If you look at the title of this thread it says:

So if the first poll told us the &#39;favorites&#39; then why is motionmaster 4 logo even in this new poll? Why was motionmaster 4 chosen over mtionmaster 1? Why wasn&#39;t motionmaster 1 there too so that each of us would have 2 logos to vote for? Can&#39;t you see that I am at a disadvantage because my votes are split between 2 of my logos? And I am still leading. What about tite-wad 3 logo? And what about my other logos that were ahead of motionmaster?

Anyway this contest rules have not been clearly defined at the beginning nor has there consistancy during.

Clearly more people have voted for my logo since the beginning so what are we talking about? Not listening to the popular vote?

And I see some have talked about a third head to head poll. I say NO. What would be the purpose. I have won 2 times already. Even if he were to win that vote it would mean... I would have won 2 times for his once.

i concur, the lack of organisation and critique severely effected this comp

Okay, I&#39;ve been away 2 weeks and this debate is still going?

IMO, Somebody 1234.5 is the most refined image...

The pic&#39;s background gradient is nicely matched to the area the image will be sitting on, so it&#39;ll look more suitable than any other pic. The blue K-Lite logo is the icing on the cake... the only thing I&#39;m not too fussed about is the text used for "Discussion Board"

I fkn HATE the bloody animated pic. The blue stroke around the lettering just doesn&#39;t work, but that&#39;s the least of it... 56K for me, and that sucker took about 8 full minutes(&#33;) to load. <_<

motionmaster&#39;s contender is fairly good, but the "Kazaa Lite" text seems to be a bit plain, and the background isn&#39;t matched gradient wise.. if this is because the image is a work in progress, then I retract my comments. However, I DO like the "Discussion Board" text in this case.

So the PERFECT image (IMHO) would be a collaboration between the 2 leaders.

Somebody 1234.5&#39; logo, Klite text and gradient background with motionmaster&#39;s "Discussion Board" text. That would look terrific and BOTH leaders would win.

After all, isn&#39;t sharing what this community is all about? ;)

Somebody1234, i can understand why you&#39;re a bit upset, but you have to consider some other outcomes also - sure, having 2 logos might mean that you&#39;re losing votes for a particular entry, but it&#39;s possible that if the animated logo wasn&#39;t an option then those people could have voted for another person&#39;s logo, they wouldn&#39;t automatically vote for your other entry, so in a way, it&#39;s quite possible it&#39;s helped maintain your lead. There is no conspiracy ( :ph34r: )

Incidentally, i voted for your logo (somebody1234.5), because you took my own and other member&#39;s ideas into consideration during your design process, and it made for a good design.

The rules should have been clear from the beginning, but i don&#39;t think this was expected to become such a serious competition, it&#39;s just developed that way over the past week or so. I wouldn&#39;t hold it against anyone or get too worked up about it. I think that the next contest will be pretty fair with lessons learnt from this one.

Anyways, once again, well done to all those who contributed.

I&#39;m actually beginning to think the combination logo (see above) looks a lot better than anything I&#39;ve seen. I don&#39;t know why, it just works for me.

I never intended for any of the ones I posted to be put to a vote - they were only meant as suggestions for modifications to your designs. After all, that&#39;s all they were - mods on yours. So it&#39;s just as well they&#39;re not in this round anyway.

But while you&#39;re throwing conspiracy theories about - I wonder how many people (especially those with slow connections) got tired of waiting for all of the images in the first poll to load before they voted. I&#39;m betting that some gave up after a minute or two and just picked one of those they could see - which of course would be one near the top of the list since they load first.

Not that I am an expert ... but I think #1 is the only one which actually uses the official K-lite logo ... so it&#39;s obvious which one should win. Now should and will are two different things.

Go figure ... I did say I was no expert. All are excellent graphics ... which would not defame the great k-lite board. Good job guys ... but nobody ever remembers who came in second place do they???

Though I do think that Lamsey&#39;s idea is not only original ... but wise. Combine them and then maybe someone will remember who was in second??? (lol)

Yep, he probably did it by viewing the list where they&#39;re stored and posting them in order.
And for whatever reason, capitalised ones were first - the rest are all in order. Wierd.

I choosed the 4 most voted and the one i liked most. It&#39;s not that i don&#39;t like your one .. but i personally like motionmaster 4 a bit more.

The white lettering was chosen by the suggestions of other members when I was making the logo. Also the people voted for the unchanged logo the way it is now so changing it now would not be right.

Keep in mind that we can adapt the color around the logo so that it looks better .. we don&#39;t have to keep the one there is atm

In the end, we can whinge and whine about the final choice as much as we want - VB&#39;s going to be the one who&#39;ll upload the logo onto the forums and who&#39;ll confirm the change, hence is the one who&#39;s gonna have the last word. AFA I can tell, the poll was not for the people to decide but for the people to express which is their favourite to have - VB, AFAIK, will have to make a decision with the results of the poll in mind.

I voted for somebody1234.5, it&#39;s far and away the best and most professional submission, but I definitely think he should have stayed out of this discussion here cos he&#39;s beginning to sound like a whiney schoolkid.. (no offence meant to whiney schoolkids) ;)

What colors do I have to use ?

Is it really a logo or is it just a banner ? Looks like a banner to me.

Do I have to use boring ice blue ? I&#39;d rather not. If you want the viewer to feel like they are in a new building, if they weren&#39;t too excited about the previous colors, then you (the artist) must use a further color away from the original.

What are the dimensions of the banner exactly ?

I have two banner versions finished now but they are made with red fading thru orange to yellow. The sunset is more of the logo, but I could add the old logo inside the sun. I could convert them to light blue of course.... if that is what the judges want but I&#39;m too late to enter I think....

I was away in Hawaii so that is why the sunset looks good to me now. Also the word play with Klite = light =sunlight.

I also had two big parties at my house, drove a ways to get some fireworks, and am a volunteer for my neighborhood.... so sorry if I missed a month of posts.... I have a busy life. :^D
