I'm looking into buying a new phone. My samsung t809 got friend when i spilled orange juice on it when it was charging. now it won't charge. :angry:

i can get a Motorola MPx220 for $60 on ebay refurb/used

are there any other flip smartphones that are good? i say flip because i keep it in my pocket, and the blackjack/q is big, let alone a full sized pda phone like the ppc-6600 that i have for sprint.

You sure it's not just the charger that's fried?
Probably cheaper to replace the charger if you can even pinpoint that as the problem, unless you want a new phone.

checked that. tried charging with the usb cable/charger that came w/ it. exact same thing. the back of the phone (not where the battery is, next to the power plug) gets extremely hot and that phone just turns off.

I've got the t809 and love it.

How about the new slider that took its place?

All the minor shit that was forgotten on the t809 is on the Z630, and NICE upgrade to it is the G600.

I believe amazon.com has a lot of unlocked phones also.

well, i got the mpx220. seems like a decent phone for $50 i got off ebay refurbed

are there any other smartphones in the similar size? blackberry pearl is similar in size to a blackjack, and i got no room in my pockets. plus i really want a flip phone after my t809's screen got really busted up.
